1. Do you believe that videos can lead to innovation in the classroom? Explain your answer. 2. How does Prezi, the tool that Chris Anderson uses in the video, differ from traditional presentation tools for the classroom?
1. Videos with a clear message or showing a skill can lead to innovation provided there is a desire on the part of the observer to take the information to the next level. As Anderson states in his TED talk, without "desire" there is no innovation. Students can take information from a video and expand upon the ideas presented, ask questions that put the information into a different light or make them think differently about a situation. Additionallly, it can present an idea that a student never considered.
2. Prezi is a web-based presentation application and storytelling tool that uses a single canvas instead of traditional slides. Text, images, videos and other presentation objects are placed on the infinite canvas and grouped together in frames. (Wikipedia definition)
Prezi keeps all the ideas centrally located so that the viewer will always relate the topics together. The use of the FerrisWheel buckets as different videos is a clever one. The videos are unique and seperate, but still remain part of a whole concept when the frame is expanded. The entire frame when fully expanded almost tells a story about the concept being explored. Presentation tools used in a classroom use the "one frame at a time" method whether it is an overhead projector or a video/movie. Students have to keep the idea of the whole concept in their own minds, rather than being reminded via the video screen. Although teachers are also responsible for making sure that students have grasped the whole concept, the Prezi model reinforces the central idea of the subject presented. Using the Prezi model can also present numerous topics related to a central idea, many of which students may not have thought of on their own.

Trojan War (Tainted Love by Softcell)
This version is the mythological one where Paris chooses who is the most beautiful of 3 goddesses. Aphrodite is chosen and gives Helen to Paris. War with Sparta ensues because Helen is Spartan King Menelaus' wife.
Discovery Channel-Etruscan home
A large Etruscan house was found in Tuscany showing that larger, more prosperous homes were away from the main village and usually uphill. This home shows large clay storage vessels, smaller vessels, and brass fittings.
6.6 Create Your Own Prezi
Prezi - Hominids
This tool was lots of fun to create. However, without consistent working Internet, a project of this magnitude would take forever. If we could get the Technology teachers to work with us on logistics, the students could truly get a richer understanding of a particular topic using a fun and creative medium. The difficulty might be assessment. How does a middle school teacher review 100+ projects with spotty and sporadic Internet?
